Kid Commute Launch

In partnership with TransLink, the City of Vancouver, Vancouver School Board, the City of North Vancouver, and the North Vancouver School District, DASH has been piloting Kid Commute: A Walking School Bus Program.

Kid Commute encourages students to walk to and from school in groups, commonly referred to as “walking school buses.” The program was developed by TransLink in response to the need for safer school zones, reduced emissions, and the promotion of healthy children in Vancouver and North Vancouver communities.
