Originally from Ottawa ON, Karen has lived in various communities in Alberta and British Columbia. She has a diploma in nursing from Algonquin College in Ottawa, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Victoria, and the Canadian Nurse Certification in Community Health. Currently based in Prince George, BC , Karen is the Lead for Public Health Practice, covering the northern interior health service delivery area. With a passion for the health and well-being of children and youth, Karen embraces the opportunity to be part of the DASH Board with a focus on contributing to DASH’s mandate in a meaningful way. Karen has been on the Board for 5 years and is currently Board Chair.
